I'm New

Welcome

Calvary is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

What to expect

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We are a growing church that loves Jesus and loves our community deeply! Every Sunday we have many first-time guests, and we would love for you to join us as well! If you are planning to visit, here are some things to expect:

What time do services start?

Our worship service starts at 10:45am.

What do you believe and teach?

We are a Baptist church, and have people that come from many different faith backgrounds. We are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. You can read a full statement of our beliefs here.

What happens in a service?

A typical service will begin with a worship song followed by a few announcements. After that we normally have a few more songs and then the message. You can expect the service to last about 90 minutes including worship and the message.

Is there something special for my kids?

We have classes for all age groups. During the service you can place your child in the nursery or in childrens church. 6th -12 grade joins adults for our worship service.

What do I wear?

You may wear whatever you want. There may be some people who wear suits and ties, some who enjoy more business casual (slacks and a button shirt), and still others who prefer jeans and t-shirt. It’s important to remember that God looks at the soul, not at the suit.

What size church is Calvary?

We normally run cumulatively about 100-150 on Sundays.

Will I be asked to give money?

We do take an offering each Sunday after the time of singing & worship. Our offerings help us to keep the lights on and enables us to reach our community. But, more than half of our people give online or by phone; if you are a guest or visitor, don’t feel obligated to give.
